The logs where I write stuff on some kind of cadence. What cadence? Whenever I feel like it and also don't think a mastoposto is the right fit. Newest at the top. References to sexual media will be here. I work with that in my day to day arts.
Tho, it's painfully scuffed. I think if I was to start this over, I'd probably design an actually low-level VM for MOLD. Or at least come up with some kind of machine model for it.
I'd also start the editor over. It's very haphazard and organically grown. The text editor part is a bit of a mess. Additionally, I'd like to have supported forground and background layers from the start. But for now, it's good enough and I'll get on with the CatJam.

There's now a catlang webring and I made a button for Juxta. The catlang space is slowly escaping the closed doors of chatrooms.
We als spent the week reading through John Pane's thesis, A Programming System for Children that is Designed for Usability. It was a great read on designing a programming system that models the system humans naturally construct. I took a bunch of notes I need to digitize and mirror to my website. A moment I liked was when he shift from "natural language programming" (programming languages who's structure attempts to emulate spoke and written language) to "natural language programming" (a programming language that mirrors what people will naturally construct when engaging in programatic task). It was pretty slick.
Also, we had a fat scream about Lua and the state of it's leadership. It seems like people want Lua to expand into something like Ruby or Python without addressing the titanic a break it'd take to do that. A lot of this seems like it's in reaction to the pressures of LLMs and everyone fearing becoming irrelivant. It's ashame to see this mindset infecting Lua now.
I've also continued to make steady progress with PROCESSED WORKMEAT. I'm nearing the end, but also I need a break from it. I've been meaning to do catjam stuff but reading Pane's thesis upended my ideas for Kibble. Also, Kibble might to much for me to do while also keeping up with work and shit. So, I'll make something simplier.
We've written about Building Domain Specific Languages (DSLs) in Lua. We haven't actually worked on the catjam much. Got kinda sidetracked with an old project we had sitting around. We got stuck for a while cause adding new scenes required a ton of boilerplate. A lot of it was just hooking things into the system and not the actual meat of the game.
However, figuring out a nice way to construct DSL in Lua solved that one. Making nice progress on it. The game has gone through a few names but we've finally settled on PROCESSED WORKMEAT. Managed to finish WEEK ONE and get WEEK TWO started. Need to add some sounds tho...
We also got a new desk.

I've updated my website to include a new hub page called the Hexagonal Atrium to continue with the theming of this places Nowhere and part of Ze's library. I've also started a jams page and a page for the 2026 catjam.

As much as I liked Miso town, I think having two journals off the same website was some how breaking the service. It just kept going out for my website which kinda blows. So, now I'm following Handwriting your RSS feed. New feeds are here (art) and here (logs) At some point I'd like to have my own gallery generator for my sketchbook. In the tradition of this wiki, I would like to write that myself.
Been getting more into OCaml, it feels like a direct leap up from what I like about Lua. So far, I like how it feels as a procedural language and using things like polymorphic variants.
Making a toy catlang in OCaml to get familiar with all it's features. It's called Joyful.
I've been hording magazings to do collage with. Only some small test additionally featuring my own sketch of Zē Rō's sister Aam "The All Powerful" Rō.
Noise Jam 3 has started. Iunno, I want to do something worm god related. I'm in a worm mood.
We finished "This Is How You Lose the Time War" as well as the first book to "Dungeon Crawler Carl". It's been nice reading again. Probably the only perk of my horribly dull office job. Should probably start a reading list or something on this site.

Writing a log to note what I have going and what I've been thinking.
I've zapped VS Codium from my system and I'm now using Kate. It's not as slick as Codium was for various task, but I was only using it for like two features. I was already annoyed with major graphical glitches and also being to down stream of Microsoft VSCode.
Trying to once again design a visual representation of parasite impregnation. It's been something I've constantly chasing designs for since Chitinous Carnival.
I've been getting back into traditional art. Print making has me enraptured. At some point I want to get into oil pastels.
I also got A4 paper cause it folds into self-similar subdivisions.
I finished up Woolietail for the most part. However, I have not documented it at all.
I cracked down hard on LLM generated projects in the catlang discord. I think I'm quiet happy with the outcome so far. Getting there was fucking exhausting tho.
On the topic of print making, the and council has been making propaganda. Expect more in the future.

It seems like the issue with Miso Town's HTML Journal service has been fixed up! Should uhhhh, probably use this again? Wrote about how I'm done supporting Android as a platform. It's to much pain for nothing in return.
Finished reading Guards! Guards!. Found it to be a funny read. The dragon was sexy, might have to draw it (or dragons in general). Definitely wanna read the other works Terry Pratchett has done. Also, I'm almost done with Player Piano. Lokey, I feel gaslight by like, everyone that vaguely mentioned that book? I can see how if you read it uncritically, you walk away with the wrong conclusions and opinions.

Last week, I didn't work on SLOPPPPPPPP. I instead made a little fetish game where you transform a lizard creature into a bug creature. It was an entry for the miniNSFW jam. Finished rating all the games today. Gonna have to move the game to my site later.
State of the world is pretty grim. I try to keep making art. I've thankfully been getting rather nice comments. Messages that my art's been resonating with people. I may not have much hope about making a living off, but I do know it matters.

I'm working on a game (currently called sloppppppp). Slowly building the underlying system for the game. Very slowly chipping away at it. Got collision detection and what not.
Need to implement stuff for advancing the game state. The idea being the game takes place week-by-week.
I want to make this to just vent some feelings about how the whole generative AI crazy has felt. Especially from the perspective of a NSFW art. It's crazy how Elon can stay fully funded running a CSEM generation machine, but I get my face kicked in on Itch because of payment processors.
Serously, how fucked up is that? Tumblr got rocked for far less. Granted it was full of fags which have far less power than a rich man with a direct line to a fascist dictator. I know tons of artist exploring kink art in games. I've had multiple of my games torn down from Itch. But, generating nonconsesual sexual images of childred and women? No Problemo. Where the fuck are you Collective Shout, Mastercard, Visa, PayPal? Worthless bunch of cunts.
Also, working through a TF game for the miniNSFW jam. Dunno if that will get done tho.
