A Gnat flew over the meadow with much buzzing for so small a creature and settled on the tip of one of the horns of a Bull. nothing! The Bat begged for his life, but the Weasel would not listen. So now, though he had not seen anything that even looked like a Wolf, he ran toward the village shouting at the top of his voice, Wolf! But the Fisherman quickly put the fish into his basket. Many died, and those who lived were so ill, that they cared for neither food nor drink, and dragged themselves about listlessly. What are you afraid of? asked a young Frog. They look more able to carry the poor creature, than he to carry them. So away he hurried to the Crane. He would have made you feel how much sharper his claws are than your teeth.
