Some Cranes saw a farmer plowing a large field. The Satyr sprang hurriedly to his feet and made for the door. The unsuspecting pair did as they were told and in an instant the Cat had them both under her claws. The Fox heard the news and hurried to see the Toad. While they were disputing with much heat and bluster, a Traveler passed along the road wrapped in a cloak. Do you pretend to know more than I? The King of Beasts is like wax in our hands! The Ant struggled in vain to reach the bank, and in pity, the Dove dropped a blade of straw close beside it. The Miller and his Son quickly scrambled down, and a short time later, the market place was thrown into an uproar as the two came along carrying the Donkey slung from a pole. However small you may be, you are better than nothing at all.

We are often not so eager for what we seek, after we have found it.
