five (four? six?) concatenative languages

i've lost all my mail for the month of july, including
the discussion on the project of compiling short papers
on joy's kith and kin.
what's the status of the project? who's compiling the
results? which papers are complete, or nearly so?
we need a book.
we need some compelling applications to illustrate
the power of this type of programming.
factor is just a tremendous achievement. my impression
is that slava has taken his language to the point where
it should be considered a serious candidate for "real"
applications. the only component i haven't seen him
address is gui. how does the factor programmer create
a window-based application?

My paper on Forth is hardly started -- I keep starting, running out of
time, restarting, and trying again. I'm busy.

Thanks for trying. There is no great hurry, really.
All the best, and don't let work get you down.
