There are now the following Joy packages at
http://www.quill.plus.com/joy-linux/
They are trial builds, I can only test them on my machine
and they seem quite stable. If anyone has time and resources
confirm the general packaging works I would be pleased
to hear the results.
The new tars have a make uninstall option, the rpm's
and the deb respect the normal package commands.
Joy-Linux file install details:
joy-linux.tar.gz ( the original joy-linux-0.1 )
into /home/<personal>/ directory
The following are new versions...
joy-linux-0.1.tar.gz into /usr/local/ /usr/local/bin/
joy-linux-0.2.tar.gz into /usr/share/ /usr/bin/
This is the base file for the
following rpm and deb builds.
joy-linux-0.2-1.src.rpm into into /usr/share /usr/bin
joy-linux-0.2-1.i586.rpm into into /usr/share /usr/bin
joy-linux_0.2-1_i386.deb into into /usr/share /usr/bin
rpm's built on Linux Mandrake 9.0
deb built on Debian GNU/linux 3.0 r0 Woody
but is not fully in line with Debian policies,
has no man page, and some policy detail missing.
After installing any package Joy should run by typing
joy or joy-linux
Fingers crossed!
