toy and Oberon

A demo release of toy is nearly ready. It will only be released if someone indicates an interest in running it. I would recommend LNO (Linux Native Oberon) as the easiest version to install, assuming that one is running Linux already, except for the fact that the hard break (keyboard command to escape an infinite loop), supposedly ctrl-c, does not seem to work. For an experimental VM a hard break is sometimes needed, as you know. I will contact ETHZ and ask about this.
LNO can be installed with two files: Oberon0.Dsk and lno000917.tgz, from ftp://ftp.inf.ethz.ch/pub/ETHOberon/Native/LinuxBased/
If you have an x86 box with an available partition, the Native Oberon installation is also quite painless. Hard break works (ctrl-break).
Please let me know if you install Oberon: demos will be forthcoming.
