Fable #830

previous | next

An Ass found a Lion's skin left in the forest by a hunter. I cannot tell you how glad I am to see you here. Then we shall soon see to whom the honey really belongs. You can guess how fine and fat I will grow on the scraps from the table. Big, was he! But when they got there they found the Boy doubled up with laughter at the trick he had played on them. It was their feast, they thought. When he saw how the Dog was acting, he seized a stick and drove him out of the stable with many a blow for his selfish behavior.

Two wrongs do not make a right.
