A Bat blundered into the nest of a Weasel, who ran up to catch and eat him. Now the black Jackdaw was not a very handsome bird, nor very refined in manner. The poor Oxen, pulling with all their might to draw the wagon through the deep mud, had their ears filled with the loud complaining of the Wheels. said a Mother Crab to her son. They hardly dared blink for fear of losing him out of their sight a single instant. There none would dare harm them. Sir, said the Dog, with a grin, I shall be delighted to have you eat me. No small fry for me, he said. As for the Cat, he eats us. So be thankful, my child, that you escaped with your life, and, as long as you live, never judge people by their looks.

Even the weakest may find means to avenge a wrong.
