Now the Mice kept more strictly at home than ever. But the Fox had so many plans for escape he could not decide which one to try first. As he crossed a narrow footbridge, he happened to look down and saw himself reflected in the quiet water as if in a mirror. they said laughing, what do you call it, father? But the greedy Dog thought he saw a real Dog carrying a bone much bigger than his own. But he did not bring any stones with him. The Wolf killed a great many of the Boy's sheep and then slipped away into the forest.
