A Shepherd Boy tended his master's Sheep near a dark forest not far from the village. The Sheep in the pasture were much astonished and amused at the Pig's behavior, and followed the Shepherd and his charge to the pasture gate. The Wheels of the wagon were of a different sort. He had to squeeze himself a good deal to get through the narrow opening between the strips of the basket. On the way they passed a pond where a family of Frogs was sitting among the reeds on the bank. The Dog could creep inside and the Cock would fly up on one of the branches. The Man in the tree climbed down. Every day he went to the spot, dug up the treasure and counted it piece by piece to make sure it was all there. And without more words the Wolf seized the poor Lamb and carried her off to the forest.
A knave's hypocrisy is easily seen through.
